
Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27 in 1976) is an former American football tight end who was a part of the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is thought to be one of the greatest tight ends in history. He holds the record of the NFL for receiving yards as well as receptions as a tightener. In addition, he is third in overall receptions. Gonzalez played his first 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who picked him in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. The last five seasons as a player of the Atlanta Falcons. Since his retirement in 2013 Gonzalez was an analyst on football for NFL on Prime Video and was previously with CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez completed his career with 14 Pro Bowl selections, the most for a tightend and second-most in league history, in addition to receiving six first-team All-Pros. Gonzalez is well-known for his stamina and uncommon errors. He played in 272 games of the regular season and lost only two fumbles on 1,327 touches. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the year 2019.
